Finding My Rhythm in a World of Noise
— Choosing clarity over chaos in a busy life
Hi there
Most mornings in my home start with movement—small feet, busy hands, voices calling “Mom!”
Lunches to pack, breakfast dishes clinking, backpacks half-zipped.
By the time the door finally closes behind the kids,
I take a deep breath... and then—my phone lights up.
Push notifications. News updates. Messages I missed.
It’s like the world has been waiting for me, impatiently.
For a while, I thought that was normal—just part of being a mom, an entrepreneur, a modern human.
But lately, I’ve been wondering:
What would happen if I didn’t answer everything right away?
So I started putting my phone on silent mode.
Not all day—just for the first part of my morning.
No sounds, no buzzes. Just space. Quiet enough to hear my own thoughts again.
And in that stillness, I began choosing differently.

I don’t need more information.
I need space to think.
Not constant updates—but intentional insight.
Not noise—but rhythm.
Here’s what’s been helping me:
Letting the morning begin without a screen
Keeping my phone on silent until I'm ready
Unsubscribing from things that clutter my mind
Choosing just a couple of trusted sources that help me feel informed, not overwhelmed
One of those for me is a newsletter called Morning Brew.
It gives a clear snapshot of business and current events, without the drama or overwhelm.
I read it when I want to, not when a notification tells me to.
We can’t control how loud the world is,
but we can choose how much of it we let in.
If your days have felt scattered lately,
maybe it's not that you need to do more—
maybe it’s time to let some things go,
so you can hear your own rhythm again.
Here’s to quiet mornings,
and clarity that lasts through the day.
